  • Užsakiau slidžių servisą prieš pat slidinėjimo kelionę ir paruoštas slides atidavė jau kitą dieną. Viena slidė turėjo įbrėžimą po griuvimo, kurį irgi sutvarkė.

About ski preparation

06About us

We prepare equipment the way professionals do

  1. Quality

We prepare ski equipment (alpine and cross-country skis, snowboards) to a high standard: we sharpen the edges on precise manual machines, repair base damage, wax properly according to procedure, and polish with automatic tools.

  2. All year

Snowboard and ski service is available all year round, because the ski season is not limited to winter. The range of services we offer is also extremely wide – tailored to each customer's wishes.

  3. Experience

We have plenty of experience preparing ski equipment for professionals for training and competitions, so we can prepare your equipment with exceptional precision and quality for recreational / touring skiing as well. Sharpening can be done by choosing the right edge angle (side 86–89° / base 0–2°) to suit your skiing style, and the wax to suit the snow temperature, and so on.

  4. Equipment

For each job we use tools that deliver the most effective result. For example, edges are sharpened on a machine designed for professional ski preparation. When sharpened on such a machine, the edge wears down more slowly and ends up smoother and sharper than with a manual sharpener.

10FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Briefly about prices, turnaround times and how to bring in your gear.

How much does a ski service cost?

A full alpine ski service (sharpening, waxing and polishing) costs 22 €, with double waxing (PREMIUM) – 32 €. For a snowboard – 27 € and 37 € respectively. All prices are in the price list.

How long does it take you to prepare skis?

Services are available year-round. Turnaround time depends on the current workload and the season. During the season (11.15–03.15), work in Kaunas is usually done within a day, in Vilnius within 2 days. Outside the season, the turnaround time is agreed individually.

Do I need to book in advance?

No. Just bring your skis or snowboard to any drop-off point during opening hours – there's no need to book in advance. We'll tell you when your gear will be ready when we take it in.

Where can I drop off my skis or snowboard?

We accept equipment in Kaunas, Vilnius, Klaipėda and Šiauliai – at partner workshops. You'll find the addresses, opening hours and phone numbers on the contacts page.

How often should I get a service?

When skiing in the mountains, wax wears off after roughly 3–5 days on snow, while edges wear depending on snow and ice conditions. For most skiers, a full service before a trip and storage waxing at the end of the season is enough. If your ski starts to slide sideways in a turn or the base looks greyish – it's time for a service.

What is the difference between STANDARD and PREMIUM preparation?

In both cases the edges are sharpened and the base is waxed and polished. With PREMIUM preparation the base is waxed twice – the wax penetrates deeper, the ski glides more easily and the wax lasts longer. We recommend it when you get your skis serviced infrequently or have a longer trip ahead.

Do you prepare snowboards and cross-country skis too?

Yes. We prepare alpine skis, snowboards and cross-country skis, and we also mount and adjust bindings and repair bases.

What should I do with my skis in summer?

Before summer, it's worth storage waxing your gear: we sharpen the edges and apply a thick layer of wax that protects the base from drying out and the edges from rust. Ski storage waxing costs 17 €, snowboard – 21 €.
