A snowboard with sharp edges and fresh wax feels completely different: the turn on hard snow no longer slips, the board picks up speed quickly and is easy to control. Snow7 prepares snowboards as carefully as race equipment – from the base to the bindings.

PREMIUM – with double waxing. A snowboard base is wide, so it needs more wax, and well-absorbed wax keeps the glide longer even in wet spring snow.
Edges: sharp, but not too sharp
For snowboards, a more forgiving edge setup than for alpine skis is most often chosen – an 89° side angle and a 1° base angle. Such an edge holds reliably on a groomed slope, but doesn’t catch unexpectedly when the board slides or spins. Those who mostly ride hard, icy snow or like carving turns can choose a sharper angle.
- For groomed runs and carving turns – sharper edges along the entire length, firm grip in the turn;
- For beginners – a more forgiving setup, so the board catches less and is easier to control;
- For the park – a larger base angle (1.5–2°), so the edge catches less on features.
To see how the angle changes the edge, check out the edge angle lab.
Wax that lasts the whole trip
A snowboard base is large, so a lack of wax is felt quickly: the board brakes on flatter sections, and on a flat part of the slope you have to unstrap and push. We choose the wax according to snow temperature – harder for cold, dry snow, softer for wet spring snow. If you are heading to the mountains in spring, tell us when you drop off your board. Binding mounting and stance
Properly mounted bindings mean both comfort and safety. We mount the bindings according to your lead foot (Regular or Goofy), stance width and angles. For beginners we usually recommend +15° / −15° – it’s comfortable to ride in both directions, while experienced riders choose angles to suit their style.
- binding mounting or remounting – 22 €;
- adjustment when remounting isn’t needed – 7 €;
- we fasten the screws with medium-strength threadlocker so they don’t come loose, but can still be unscrewed.
What is worth knowing before mounting – in the article about the nuances of mounting snowboard bindings. When you bring your board in for mounting, bring your boots too – we’ll match the bindings precisely.
Base repair
Rocks, ice and park features leave scratches. We level out minor ones and fill deep ones with P-Tex material. Repairing snowboard base damage costs from 7 €, and we agree on the exact price before the repair. More – about base repair.

Frequently asked questions
Do the bindings need to be removed before service?
No. We sharpen the edges and wax the base with the bindings mounted. They only need to be removed or remounted when you want to change your stance.
Which binding angle should I choose?
For beginners, +15° / −15° is the most comfortable – it’s easy to ride in both directions. Later it’s worth adjusting the angle to your style and feel: carving fans often choose both angles pointing forward, e.g. +21° / +6°.
How often should I wax my snowboard?
For recreational riding in the mountains – roughly every 3–5 days of riding. If the base near the edges has turned whitish and dry, it’s time to wax.
Can I bring several boards at once?
Of course – you can bring the equipment for your whole family or group of friends. Our technician will assess each board individually.
What should I do with my snowboard in summer?
Get it stored: we sharpen the edges and apply a thick layer of wax (21 €). More about storage waxing.
